About the event
WHAT: Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year. It is a day to honor Inti/Father Sun. It is a day to honor the light in each other. It is a day to honor all things growing. We will begin with a celebration of fellowship and food. Then at about 7:30 PM, we will have a ritual circle of drumming, songs, and movement to align us to the energy of the sun. The celebration is our way to give back to the Spirit World and to Pacha Mama for all that is gifted to us.
PLEASE BRING:
- A dish to share for the potluck. Round and/or sun colored foods are especially appropriate. Think casseroles, fruit, salad, dessert.
- Your own table service and your own non-alcoholic beverage.
- A lawn chair.
- A drum or rattle, if you have one.
- Water bottle, bug spray, sun screen - whatever you need to be comfortable outside.
- If you are able, a donation of $5 for reciprocity.
RSVP to Ruth Zwald, the ritual celebrant, if you are planning to attend. The ritual is based on the number of people attending.
